I have always been passionate about two things: animals of all shapes and sizes, and art. Growing up, I was lucky to be surrounded by nature, insects, and pets of many varieties. This fueled a life-long love of critters, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology to show for it! Artistically, I have spent a lifetime learning different media: drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, and whatever else has caught my fancy over the years. I had never even heard of the art of felting until 2011, when a coworker showed me her felted soaps. The concept intrigued me, and stayed in the back of my mind.

In 2012, I decided to try soft sculpture and I purchased my first felting kit. I made a hideous little kitty (it was barely recognizable as such) but I saw the potential in the medium. I decided to keep practicing, and it didn’t take long for me to find my groove! After friends consistently praised my work I decided to open an Etsy shop. In August of 2016, Rock and Flower Felt was born!

At the moment I am enjoying life in the great state of Oregon with my husband, two daughters (my “Rock” and my “Flower”), three cats, three chickens, and a betta fish. I am very thankful for the support I receive from my friends and family!
